TriBus ADIPEC market entry campaign graphic showing business conversations at an energy exhibition

The real market entry work starts after ADIPEC

The exhibition finishes. Everyone travels home. The day job takes over.

Then the follow-up becomes: “Great to meet you. Please find our brochure attached.”

It is a familiar ending to an expensive week.

If ADIPEC is part of your market entry activity, the next few weeks need as much ownership as the visit itself.

Be honest about what you have

Some meetings will confirm a genuine fit. Others will provide market insight, an introduction or a reason to change direction.

All can be useful. They should not all be recorded as sales opportunities.

Capture what problem was discussed, where your offering could fit, who else needs to be involved and what you agreed to do next.

Give people a reason to continue

Send the relevant case study. Answer the technical question. Make the introduction you offered. Suggest a discussion involving the person responsible for delivery.

“Just checking in” gives the other person work to do. A useful contribution makes it easier to respond.

Assess local support properly

An introduction to a potential agent, distributor or partner can be valuable. It still needs assessment.

What can they contribute beyond access? Do they understand your offering? Can they support customer development or delivery? How will responsibilities and progress be managed?

Access is one part of a route to market. Someone also needs to do the work.

Budget for continuity

My experience of developing business in the region shapes how I approach this through TriBus: market entry needs consistent effort, clear ownership and a reason for the customer to keep engaging.

A useful return visit might involve a technical workshop, a site discussion or additional decision-makers. Each trip should have a purpose.

TriBus can support market prioritisation, customer and partner targeting, engagement planning and hands-on business development. We help turn the activity around an event into a practical programme of market development.

If ADIPEC has opened doors but your team needs support taking the next steps, let’s talk.
